While Herbstriet was saying stuff like "Oregon needs to really dominate tonight to hold off Florida State," and basically giving Stanford no chance, like every other ESPN expert from Colin Cowherd to Mel Kiper Jr. to Todd McShay to Brian Griese, to Mark May, Palmer was the only one respecting Stanford after witnessing them grind the ducks into mush.
He said Stanford should be viewed as a BCS Championship Game contender because the Utah game was such an anomaly; Stanford lost its identity in that game, but showed the world what kind of team it is when it plays Stanford football.
