I'd heard he wasn't able to shake Orgeron's hand on the field because of the field rush (postgame you could see him trying to seek him out but not making much headway), so we went to the locker room. I sincerely doubt he shook every USC players' hand, and it looks like on that picture that he's looking around for somebody who isn't there yet, ie Orgeron.
I hate the word "classy" as it pertains to sports, but it's pretty fitting in this case.

Class in the face of no class. USC's players have simply run off the field without shaking hands the four previous years.

Yup. I watched the aftermath of the game and was thinking that Orgeron should have been looking for Shaw as well. He wasn't. He'll be perfect as their head coach.

This may have started after the 2007 biggest upset ever. Even the Daily Crayon noted that the Figueroan players just walked off the field, not shaking the offered hands of the Stanford players. But the sporting civilities may have disappeared long before that.
