I'm counting on the 100th going much better than the first.

Red vs. Green will make it clear who is who.
I think they are very underrated and will be a great test.Â

Glad my pops did not give up his room he reserved after the Oregon win. Hope to see some of you all there.
Heroism is not defined by one great act, but by a lifetime of right action.

Will we be in our home reds? I read somewhere on here earlier that since MSU is higher ranked they're "home" so we'll be in our whites. Or do both teams wear home jerseys when the colors are significantly different?

So...you're saying it's the perfect holiday card for our 59er friends?
"Wish...you weren't here!"

Thought I read someplace that Pac and B1G alternated home and road designations.

It's higher ranked. Spartans will be in green, we'll be in whites.
I like the soccer rule, where both teams can be in colors as long as they don't clash. (like they do when SC and UCLA play)

I think other rivalries do that too. Weren't both Alabama and Auburn wearing their home jerseys a few weeks ago?

Oh, of course, it was the Civil War that had both teams in home colors. How did I forget that horrendous eyesore?

Ok, so we wear our road uniform. And the Mich St band gets to perform the anthem, as the higher ranked team. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Bowl_G...rangements
Quote:From 1947 through 2001, the Big Ten team was the home team in odd-numbered years, and the Pac-10 team was the home team in even-numbered years. In 2003, Washington State was the home team, as a non-Big Ten or Pac-10 school (Oklahoma of the Big 12) was the opponent; the same applied in 2005, when Michigan played another Big 12 school, Texas.
Beginning with the 2002 Rose Bowl, Nebraska was the home team and fans and team were on the East sideline. Since 2006, the home team has been the team with the highest BCS season ending ranking. For the 2005 Rose Bowl, the Michigan team was on the East sideline, Texas was the visiting team and was on the West sideline. For the 2006 Rose Bowl, USC was the home team and Texas was the visiting team on the West sideline. Traditionally, the Big Ten (or its BCS replacement) is on the West side (press box) and the Pac-12 team is on the East side.
The institution with the highest BCS ranking performs the national anthem, and performs first at halftime. Except in BCS championship years, the National Anthem is performed by the band. In BCS Championship years, a performer has been invited to sing the Anthem, the last being LeAnn Rimes in 2006. The Rose Bowl does not have other performers during the halftime show besides the school marching bands. As part of the television contract, a portion of each band's halftime performance is shown on television. Each school and each conference are allocated television spots to advertise.
