At Michigan State only a select sub-group of its band members will qualify to go to the Rose Bowl, so my guess is LSJUMB could be overwhelmed with MSU band members if this join LSJUMB is not screened well. Hopefully LSJUMB will learn from the Stanford AD and make sure that any Rose Bowl participation program requires some Stanford affiliation.

They can test musicianship. Fakers include anyone who's able to play the scale, play in different keys, and is mostly sober.

You also cannot ask which airlines have sanctioned the band for antics on the plane because the answer is "all of them."
Aside from asking the obvious questions (What is your name? What is your quest? What is the capital of ancient Assyria?), I would ask which famous U.SC alum the band featured in their 2009 show at the Coliseum.
