Dudchock, our underutilized best receiving TE from last year, is not returning for a 5th year.

Not sure if that is his choice or the coaches choice. Given he was our best receiving TE at the end of the season, you would think that he would be invited back but with the 3 freshmen who redshirted and Dalton coming in, perhaps there wasn't a spot for him.  Perhaps the Reilly commitment put a squeeze on scholarships?

Spring rosters will be out in a couple weeks so I guess we will know the answers to what 5th year players are returning.

Several of the returning 5th year players originally were walk-ons -- Parry, Ward, Rhyne, Trojan, Olugbode, Flacco. Parry got a scholarship a couple years ago. I think Ward may be on scholarship, but I'm not sure. I think Rhyne should be on scholarship, but I don't know whether he is. My guess is that both Ward and Rhyne will have scholarships this coming season. I haven't heard anything about scholarships for Trojan, Olugbode, or Flacco. It wouldn't surprise me if one or two of them get scholarships for this season.

He went on to say that no matter if he never played another snap of football, he was happy with his career, from Oak Mountain to Stanford.

“(My) goal is to stay on track to graduate in June,” he said. “I’m so glad (Coach Harbaugh) gave me the opportunity. (There are) not many guys from Alabama at Stanford. It’s changed my life.”
