Only because we had so much fun the last time, do I bring up that a K.al football player got arrested for an alleged assault on a person at what the Chron identified as a fraternity function,  and charged with felony battery.  He also mobilized the animal rights community by allegedly kicking a dog, too.  Man. Just when you think you're out, they pull you back in.

Sounds like our UCB player will claim that the dog was dangerous.  Certainly a possibility, but that really does little to explain how the owner gets a broken jaw out of the deal.

Even if the dog is a potential killer I just don't understand how attacking the owner will help.  If a dangerous dog was looking to attack me the LAST thing I would do is try to hurt the dog's owner while the dog was watching.  Can't wait to see both sides of this one, though I suspect if Drew is removed from the team then few college football fans will care to learn about his side of the story.

It's the off season.  Recruiting stuck in compound low gear.  Other than the unveiling of the Kabam logo for Kabam Field at Ca.lifor.nia Memorial Stadium, which apparently we'll be seeing and hearing for the next fifteen years,  what else is there to write about?  Cal rugby wins another ho-hum repeat national varsity championship?  Oh, no....guess not.  Not this year.  But that's probably better for college rugby in general and in the long run.  Really like the sport.  I'm not even grudging in admiration of what Coach Clark has built at Kal.  Interesting that a bunch of Kal ruggers went out on the town after losing and, according to BI,  all that happened was an unsolicited  compliment passed back to the coach from someone who was so impressed by their intelligence and class.  And I bet it was all true.  But I also bet not one Kal rugger kicked a dog, either.

GG;  I generally don't comment on the BI public board.  I try to reserve my opinions for the private site.  As I have mentioned to Redrum in the past, the public site is filled with comments from fools and nut cases. 

My opinion re: this topic - boot the thug out of school.  It is really that simple.
