Well. he was never a C.al student, but there was a former C.al assistant coach whom Stanford hired. His name was Bill Walsh. He turned out OK, for the most part.

I recommend Gerhard Casper for your search committee.  The man worked wonders for Stanford athletics during his tenure here and he could do the same during a temporary gig for UCB.
