Since UCLA beat the Spoiled Children, Stanford still has a role to play in deciding the south division winner. If UCLA wins next week, they will be in the championship game. If Stanford wins, the South will be represented by the winner of Arizona-ASU game. Unlike the last time we played UCLA in LA, UCLA will be highly motivated.

Stanford can make its season by knocking UCLA out of the CG. Can Shaw "pull out all the stops" and play like he has nothing to lose? UCLA will spend all week hearing everyone tell them how great they are, and how they still have a shot at the playoff if they can knock off Oregon. They will be asked about Oregon ad nauseum. It will be difficult for Mora to get his team to focus on Stanford. It will be easy for Shaw to get his team focused on UCLA. And it is a short week, with the game on Friday, and I'm sure UCLA feels a lot more emotionally spent over beating U$C than Stanford does after beating Ca.l.
The thing to worry about though: Stanford only put up 10 pts on U$C and UCLA put up 38 on them. Then again, UCLA 38 Ca.l 36. It says here Stanford can't win unless they score at least 24 points.

I hope you're right, but I can't agree with the notion that Mora will have a difficult time focusing his team on us. They haven't beaten us in, what, six years now, and they know we stand between them and a rematch with the Ducks.
Let's just hope they play more like they did against Kal and Colorado, and less like they did against U$C and Arizona.
