I was primarily commenting upon job descriptions. I don't know what an "Intellectual Strength Coach" for students aspiring to Nobel Prizes, etc. would be if not a professor.
I don't know the details of Mr. Turley's work and personal committment to his pupils, but generally most professors at Stanford put in vast amounts of both. Though indeed many consider their key pupils graduate students, any aspiring for Nobel Prizes would have to become one of those.
