"Micro-agression" is an interesting complaint that I first heard of here but have experienced daily (e.g. when I ask one of my daughters to pick up the clothes on their floor or the dirty dishes they have left in the livng room and they micro-aggresively reply "Why!").

I am semi-depressed as to how thin-skinned and uber-sensitized so many people are today, including my children.........

1. Micro-aggression did not appear in the article linked in the OP.
Perhaps you are uber-sensitized to the phrase? 

2. Daughters (and sons) complaining when asked to clean their rooms, or anything else, is in no sense a recent phenomenon or a reflection of how people act "today" versus any other time.

3. I suspect your daughters would claim that the microaggression involved here was your request for them to clean up.

The event was initially advertised as one in which Harbaugh would “be issuing a private apology to Middle Eastern, North African, Muslim, and South Asian students,” according to an email sent by student activist Lamees Mekkaoui, who spearheaded efforts to get the American Sniper screening cancelled last month. Harbaugh [color=rgb(252, 134, 0)]had tweeted[/color][/size] in support of screening the movie: “Michigan Football will watch "American Sniper"! Proud of Chris Kyle & Proud to be an American & if that offends anybody then so be it! Administrators eventually decided to screen American Sniper, but also showed the comparatively tame Paddington Be ar [color=rgb(252, 134, 0)]as an alternative[/color] for offended students.

That is just marvelous!  Paddington Be ar to calm the militants.  We should be carpet-bombing the Middle East with DVDs
