Interesting article in SFGate on Senior Associate AD Earl Koberlain, who was apparently responsible for many of the coaching hires under Muir, including Gunn, Ratcliffe, Meehan, Vargas, and Allister. Talk about some good picks!
It's funny that we all immediately point fingers at Muir without knowing whether he is actually all that involved in every coaching hire. Apparently while Muir does give final sign-off, most of the credit (or blame) for these hires goes to Koberlain.
