We got hosed. The clock didn't stop on our first down pass to Wilson. Then, the refs held the snap for UW. We lost tons of time.

Refs screwed us on time. Did not stop clock on 1st down, held up play when we didn't sub.

We had plenty of time and messed it up by substituting, giving Washington an opportunity to sub and waste time.

Or if we don't miss an XP, we don't need 6. Or throw an INT in the first half, which would have allowed us to attempt another FG. The refs were awful in managing the situation, but we made bad mistakes too.
You put yourself in the position where the game comes down to the Pac-12 zebras, it generally doesn't end well.

Would have been an epic comeback, but too little too late. In some ways it’s more frustrating that we were driving with a chance to win, rather than driving to make it respectable.

That wasn't poor game management, that was criminal game management. Why were we subbing at all? Why were we running at all? Why did we throw a single pass short of the sticks?
Then you go back a bit, why did we run 3 times on 1st and goal from the 10? None of them were successful plays. Just utterly baffling decision-making all year. It was amazing that we were in position to win, but it's ridiculous that we plain screwed up so many simple things.
I know that we have 3 very winnable games remaining and 8-4 is really not a bad record with how banged up we are, but the fact that we seem to be completely unprepared for one half of every game, the fact that we botch these crucial points, it points to coaching. What the hell is going on?

* Taking a FG from the 3 instead of a TD.

We wasted 27 seconds (54 seconds to 27 seconds when the ball was snapped) by subbing twice on the same play. Then the refs wasted 10 seconds (20 seconds to 10 seconds) by holding up the play. The refs mistake sucks, but the runoff during the substitution is criminal. A well coached high school team knows to run up and spike the ball, and then you can sub freely.
Shaw's coaching this year has been truly bad. I would have taken the personal foul on the kickoff and tried an onside kick from the 50 yard line. The 25 yards of field position doesn't matter nearly as much as the chance to get back possession.

Made no sense. Esp with Huskies having no answer for Smith and Parkinson. Shaw still thinks that this is a running team.
