Actually I thought UCLA discovered how to defend JJ just before the half. Keep his arms pinned every play and draw the PI. The clock keeps moving down and the field shortens every play. Sooner or later you're down to 5 seconds left and Shaw can no longer risk the clock expiring, and we have to settle for 3.

It makes sense at end of the half. If Stanford has the ball inside your 10 and no timeouts, just tackle the receivers at the snap. Each play gets Stanford closer to your end zone, but time keeps ticking. Eventually, Stanford will kick the FG. This could also work with many other schools.

I'm with BC, perhaps the wrong game, but I do recall a game where we were interfered on 2 consecutive tries and missed on the 3rd lob (which was also interference).

I'm with BC, perhaps the wrong game, but I do recall a game where we were interfered on 2 consecutive tries and missed on the 3rd lob (which was also interference).
