That seems rather harsh. Every team that defeated Stanford is ranked. Also since there are no other P12 teams on the bottom 25 list, they are saying that Stanford is the worst team in the conference (and the 3rd worst team among Power 5 teams, only behind Vandy and Georgia Tech).
On the other hand, if you don't want to be on that list, there is an easy way to get off it - just win, baby.
BC, there is another former Stanford assistant (though not a Shaw assistant) whose team is 2-2 and not in the bottom 25 - Willie Taggart's Florida State team.

Rough times all around for coaches with Stanford associations. Harbaugh, Mason, and Taggart are all facing the very real possibility of pink slips in two months and Bloomgren is winless (although the Owls do look much improved). Even Lord Fangio and the Broncos are 0-3. The one bright spot may be Pep Hamilton who is still undefeated as head coach of DC’s XFL team!

The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence, especially if you're already on a farm.
Free Phogge!!!! And no, crimson doesn't refer to the Tide.

I think some people like to hate on Stanford because it's perceived to be an "elitist" institution. My dad used to rag on me about going to "that Commie school" (even though he's the one who encouraged me to apply). I think he must have had it confused with that other school across the Bay (which happened to be my birthplace, LOL).

well, we are top 10 in the country in time of possession which is really hard to do as we are ranked #118 in total offense (yards per game).
an odd mixture: 109th rushing and 96th passing with the team being 101st in completion % and 123rd in yards per catch (lots of shorts throws, not that many completions and not many YAC routes?)

Greg Roman, who I honestly thought was out of football after getting canned by the Buffalo Bills in 2016, is having a career renaissance with the Baltimore Ravens. He's the OC of a team that leads the NFL--through three weeks, mind you--in scoring, total yards and rushing yards.

Part of it is who we played. uSC, Oregon, and UCF are all tempo schools, and UCF takes it to the extreme, seeking to snap the ball as soon as they possibly can.
