i agree with you. i meant to imply nobody touched (pushed, tripped, slapped) her (not that she ran into nobody and not that she didn't land on the floor).

Arizona is a good and much improved team, but you would think that if Arizona can come into Austin and dominate Texas, we could at least beat them as well.  McDonald is an incredible player, but would you take the rest of the Wildcats' roster over ours? This is one of the unfortunate head-scratching losses we've had over the last few years (Western Illinois in 2017, Santa Clara in 2015, Arizona in 2015) that left you wondering how we played so poorly.

You hope as a HoF coach, Tara is prepared with solutions to negate opposing coaches' countermeasures for our offense. Hopefully she has something already in her playbook or in the back of the mind to introduce during pratices, but you are right, Carrington's absence might be most felt on rebounding, though she is just one player who can't be everywhere. It seemed the Texas players were in the right spot to grab the missed shot as the ball seemed to richochet off the basket into the precise spot where a Longhorn was.

Hopefully she has something already in her playbook or in the back of the mind to introduce during pratices, but you are right, Carrington's absence might be most felt on rebounding, though she is just one player who can't be everywhere. It seemed the Texas players were in the right spot to grab the missed shot as the ball seemed to richochet off the basket into the precise spot where a Longhorn was.

I'm with you.  It was tough watching the game yesterday as so many shots were missed, but the talent is obviously there.  How many of you thought at half time we still had a chance to come back and win?  We all did.  
Texas seemed hungrier than we did in the first half and their defense was really good throughout the game.  Especially this early in the season you can't say we should beat so and so because they lost to so and so.  There are so many factors at play and teams are still figuring out who they are.

I think this game underscored how much we miss Dodson and Carrington in the paint. Lexie really stepped up but ultimately our bigs need to be tougher inside. Their bigs were just way too athletic for us yesterday.

Many good points regarding the loss to Texas.  One thing I will add is we are a very streaky 3-point shooting team and at this road game, we were relying heavily on the 3-ball, even when the shots kept missing.  Andy Landers said he was surprised we weren't running more plays to get better shots.  Yes, Texas seemed prepared for our Princeton offense, but I hope when we go on the road during Conference, we run a more balanced offense because (with the exception of H. Jump), we are not a very good 3-point shooting team.  You need to consciously be more aggressive on the road and the 3-ball (by its nature) takes away that aggressiveness.
