109 catches going into week 17. A record for an NFL running back. He broke the prior record of 107. Held by ... McCaffrey. With about 70 yards receiving he will join Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk as the only RBs to have over 1000 running and receiving. He will run for about 1400 this year.
I don’t know this for a fact, but I suspect he will again be the skill position non-QB player that is on the field for the highest percentage of snaps in the league. He was last year.
Not bad for a guy many (including amazingly enough some Stanford fans) thought was more suited to be a slot receiver. And many more believed he couldn’t handle being an every down back. Wrong.
An incredibly dynamic football player. Which was obvious from his first play with Stanford. Not his first touch - which of course was a TD. His first play. When he obliterated the wedge playing on the kick coverage team.
