I guess we shouldn't be shocked if he too leaves for the NBA as quickly as he can. Guess that's just the way of the world with college hoops now, even at Stanford.

Williams is almost certainly a one and done. If Terry comes back I expect he will go as well. Davis & da Silva are in their last years of eligibility.
Next season is make or break for Haase, with or without Terry.

Having said that, even if next season ends up like the most recent, i.e. NIT-bound, I would vote to give Haase a chance to develop the younger players who stay in school beyond 2020-21 and see if he can continue his recruiting success.
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)

This past season was the first in which Stanford has had a talented, true point guard since 2003-2004 when Chris Hernandez was here. (In Trent Johnson's infinite wisdom, he moved him to shooting guard for Chris' last two years, but that's another story.) The point (pun intended) is that, no matter how good of a coach you are, unless you have obscene talent at the other four positions, you're not going to have much success with a middling point guard. Hopefully Terry will return. Regardless, I think we can assume Isa Silva will be around for at least one season beginning in 2021-2022. And the way Haase is now recruiting, he'll (hopefully) continue to bring in talented point guards.

I wish he could figure out a way to take some online classes and reclassify to class of 2020 to graduate early to join the team in the fall. We could use him if Terry stays in the draft.

Max Murrell (79/118), consensus 4 stars, #14 PF
Brandon Angel (123/213), 4 star for 247sports, 3 star for composite, #25 PF

Of course, the noticeable omission for the incoming class is point guard.

Thanks b82, but your list only includes the top 100 nationally for a given year? I don't see a number of Stanford enrollees, including Landry Fields or Josh Huestis.
If there's one thing people have learned in Berkeley, it's that you can't put "Cal football" and "Rose Bowl" in the same sentence. The words just don't fit. You'd be better off linking "covered wagons" with "Mars travel." (Bruce Jenkins, Cal '70, SF Chronicle, Nov. 11, 2017)

Only the top 100 based on a weighted average consensus across the various rating services, so there are sure to be individual rating services that had other players in various top 100 lists.

What was Okafor's ranking??!
As for next year, if we don't get to the Dance, my streak of season ticket renewals may well come to a close. Haase is recruiting well, yes, but it's Time to get us back to the Dance.
