Amazing about Spieth. Last year the iconoclastic Chamblee on Golf Channel documented players that seem to lose it almost overnight. He listed Anthony Kim, Duval, Yani Tsing, Lydia Ko, Chip Beck and others. He was right on. Spieth plays like he is a bundle of nerves. Today he was on the range for two hours after his round. Perhaps it's time to see a shrink, change coaches or get his UT degree. Seems like a great kid who will stay and sign the last youngster's autograph book.

I love Bryson. Just let it rip. Other likes are Lowry, Casey and Hatton. Don't much care for Dustin and Woods.

I like Bryson's physics-based approach (he studied physics at SMU). He tries to reduce the number of moving parts; e.g., he has the largest grips possible to hold the clubs in his palms rather than his fingertips and he doesn't break his wrists on the turn.  When I took up the game, I never really liked the fact that the clubs were different lengths and I had to learn 14 different swing planes.  Apparently, he's solved that problem by making his irons/wedges the same length, all 37.5".

He has six PGA tour wins, best finish in a major is 15th.  I wonder if he can maintain the 260 pound weight and still be effective...  I know he did it on purpose to increase swing speed, but still.

I like Bryson's physics-based approach (he studied physics at SMU). P.S.  Wlat was a piece of work. And IIRC, the backstory on why Pitt was happy to see him go is also rather salacious.  But I've spread enough rank, unsupported gossip for one post . . .

Only saving grace is a 7-4-1 Ryder Cup record, which most of his peers can't match.

Harding is a tough course, from any tee. If you want an enjoyable day on a City course try Lincoln. No rough, plenty of scenery including the 17th hole that has a view better than any on the Monterey Peninsula, interesting holes (if short!) and did I say it's short?

If you want tough try Gleneagles in McLaren Park. Alister McKenzie nine holer with alternate tees on each hole to make an interesting 18. It's a bastard. Then there is the perfect par 27 nine in Golden Gate Park run by the First Tee. None of the Country Club BS and attitude.

And fee reasonable.
