Thank you Bob, for getting our heads back into WBB.

Do you think there will be a high number of local games to reduce travel costs as well as travel COVID exposure?  A season of 24 games could mean a home-and-away with each other Pac 12 team plus a couple of extra games with C.al.

By keeping all games in the conference, will that mean that every game is televised?  Otherwise we might have the tree-falls-in-a-forest problem.

C'mon.  This type of political foolishness is the reason I rarely read the COVID board anymore even though there is plenty of good info. there.  I support the allowance of politics there because it is unavoidable but it is still not without limits (See Terry rule).  On this part of the board, some posters keep doing this type of thing in a "joking" manner, some do it without joking, and it will ultimately ruin this board.  To the posters who slip into this, please, please keep it in other locations.  It is not helpful, interesting, or funny.

The notion that political discussion would "ruin" this board - let alone the one-off comment in a legit football post - is laughable.  Or cry-able, if people here really believe that.  But whatever . . . 

P.S. I miss garvin's insight and humor.  Respectfully suggest that does more damage to the board than the occasional political jab.

I think the rift that led to Gavin leaving was traumatic to many.  He was a valuable member of the community, and it makes me sad that he left.  To the extent that political comment generates insecurity, it is out of concern that it will snowball and result in a repeat of what happened with Gavin.  And it is not like what happened on the Bootleg's CEB doesn't also serve as a cautionary tale.

I personally like politics and current events discussion, and I really want to believe that the group of people on this board could engage in it responsibly.  On the other hand, I didn't build this thing, and it's not my figurative baby.  To Yvonne, the risk is simply not worth it, and I respect her wishes (with the acknowledgment that I'm not perfect and have slipped up on occasion).  Common courtesy would call for all of us to do so.
