Having probably struck out on QB's Shaw needs to get over his mental block and bring in two in '23. Sooner or later if you don't have the numbers, somebody gets hurt and you have to play Tom Matte at QB. Look it up.

If there are no healthly QBs Shaw will run the wildcat formation, when it comes to passing out the wildcat all Shaw needs is someone who is experienced in the shot put!  Does Tamar Press still have any eligibility left?  I am sure with how little a football weighs compared to a shot put Tamar will be able to chuck-it +50 yards, add to that the threat of her running with the ball!  Al Davis should have made her a Raider, I bet he tried but was told no by the nfl.

Ordinarily, I'd say "let's hope they can stave off Bowling Green and North Dakota State," but given Trey Lance and Carson Wentz hail from NDSU, I won't be so smug. But I do think Trey Lance had Power 5 offers to play other positions than QB. No power 5 offers for this kid other than Stanford.

I like the Daniels offer.  as Sam pointed out, he comes from a top level HS program and led to championships the past 2 years.  in 2019, he came off the bench to throw the tying TD with under 30 seconds left and then won in OT.  in 2020, something similar in a game he went something like 13 for 17 for 192, 1 TD throwing and 1 TD rushing.  the Buford program is a run first program and it is rare for it to be single player focus in terms of #s.  Darius Walker might have been the last one so featured.  we've recruited Buford for some time, but without great traction.  signing a Daniels might be very helpful going forward.  and lastly, unlike our last QB signee, this offeree is at least a consistent starter in HS
