What were the Tech fans saying about us again? We only have one pitcher??? (Insert Kermit drinking tea emoji)
Those were two of the most impressive pitching performances in Stanford history.

If Stanford holds it's going to look like an easy victory, but in the fifth inning when Texas Tech had first and second with no outs and Williams looking like he had lost his release point ... just a tremendous performance by him, got the next three batters out (two K) and Tech looked completely deflated from that point on.

The "California kid can't handle..." narrative is so dumb in sports. We heard it about Andrew Luck, as people ignored the fact that Tom Brady came from California. It's amazing that people can make any assumptions about kids coming from most populated state in the union, with essentially every climate within its borders.
