If the card remain undefeated in the PAC, it’s hard to see how Tara doesn’t get it. Yes defending national champs and more talent than any other team. But with a Covid season with so many players out in every game, remaining undefeated with so many different players and lineups is truly impressive.

If the card remain undefeated in the PAC, it’s hard to see how Tara doesn’t get it. Yes defending national champs and more talent than any other team. But with a Covid season with so many players out in every game, remaining undefeated with so many different players and lineups is truly impressive.

+1. WSU has tons of incentive to hold onto second place in the conference, they're the only PAC-12 team never to beat Stanford, we're coming off a bruising escape artist comeback win, and on a shorter than usual Sunday-Thursday turnaround. I take nothing for granted these days...

Charlie Creme has an article on ESPN.com today predicting who will win POY of each conference. He's predicting Haley for the Pac-12, with Cam as her main competition. (Pac-12 is only conference with main competition for the predicted winner coming from the same team)

BYU would like a word as I believe Creme has both Paisley Harding and Shaylee Gonzalez as the front runners for the WCC.
The point remains, I think the title goes to one of our players; however, if the vote gets split, I do wonder if someone else could sneak in but I don’t really see any other strong contenders.

Thanks for the correction. I guess I didn't get as far down as the WCC listing.
Another thing of note -- re Pac-12 Coach of the year -- Tara specifically mentioned Kamie Ethridge in the presser last night as having done a great job this year. But the national media is seeing things differently. Both Tara and Barnes are on the late season 15-person watchlist for Naismith Coach of the Year. I think Barnes' inclusion is based, perhaps justified, more on what she did last year rather than this one, and it should be this year that counts.

Anyone know how the voting works? Is it like Player of the Week where teams nominate one player? Is it ranked voting, or can the coaches only choose one?
