Hindsight is 20/20, but i wouldn't have pitched Matthews against SJSU. Ace against the weakest team in the regional never made sense.

It’s easy to second guess but Esquer needed to make the call to Bruno with the bases loaded. Season on the line and we needed strikeouts in that situation. Gotta bring in one of the best strikeout guys in the country.

I don’t understand the use of O’Harran and Meier. Where is Bruno??? There is no tomorrow if we lose tonight. Last year was a fun ride going through the lose’s bracket but this team isn’t beating Fullerton and A&M twice with this pitching depth. It’s win or go back to the dorms tonight.

Team is top 5 in batting and maybe top 50 (towards bottom of top 50) in pitching.  We always knew this team didn't have the pitching depth alone to go deep (no pun intended)

Another game where our weakest link (imo), shortstop, affected the game... This time with the bat which had been alright instead of the glove.

Twice up with the bases loaded and can't drive in a run. In the fifth, good aluminum on the ball but directly to their shortstop for an easy doubleplay. Plus, the last out of the game.

Tom Emanski would have a heart attack watching this team. Just terrible fundamental baseball all year long. Terrible defense, poor base running and too many free passes from the pitching staff. It’s a shame that such a potent offense was wasted by these factors.

Eager has gotta go and Esquer needs to find a way to clean things up.
