We are fortunate Swain, Somfai & Eschemeyer decided to go with us despite the uncertainty or else Kate would have had a whole less to work with.

I think we can all agree that we have an outstanding recruiting class of freshmen with 3 consensus All-Americans in Swain, Eschmeyer, and Somfai.  When was the last time Stanford had that?  What concerns me is whether Kate will rely mostly on experience this coming season (where the freshmen sit, learn and play limited minutes in non-conference) or play our All-Americans early and often.

Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but by the middle or end of December, I'd love to see a starting lineup of:  Nunu and Lara at the 3 and 4 positions, Alex at the 5, with Chloe and Hailee in the backcourt.   My other wish is (during non-conference), Kate allowing the freshmen to stay on the court (and develop) even if they make a mistake.

Bummer. I thought we had a decent chance with Byles. I bet she stays in TX and goes to Baylor. 

I still really like our chances with Wynn but top targets remaining are dwindling.

this is all disappointing, but when I see a kid's final four including a few with only so-so academic reputations, that tells me that academics were not a priority. So not a fit EVEN if admissible.
