I'd say better ball handling skills and footwork (overall foot speed) than BD - important in the high-octane ACC, esp the latter for defense. Rebounding (positioning, speed to the ball, sure hands) seems decent from what little the videos showed (most focus more on her O game, which I do like). Fingers/eyes/toes crossed!

Raw indeed, but sometimes a great use for a last scholie is in a raw but athletic big, particularly if she is open to red shirting and also priotizes the Stanford academic experience and degree (i.e., wants a 4-5 year commitment)

At last night's reception, Kate mentioned that we have 3 scholarships to give for 2026, one commit, and three remaining possibilities for the other 2 scholarships. That matches up with what we have in the first post of this thread, so nothing new there, but it does seem to confirm what we have. Also it seems to say none of the three we know about have ruled out Stanford yet.

I believe she does have another year of eligibility and that she won't be playing next year at Stanford.

I believe she does have another year of eligibility and that she won't be playing next year at Stanford.
I think we've upgraded the position to the point that Lepolo won't be starting for much longer, if at all To me she seems like Martha 2.0, great ball skills, but hesitant to shoot and defenders can sag off since she's not a hu-ge threat to score from beyond the arc.

Wouldn’t underestimate the defensive abilities either. Lepolo is 5’7”. She is strong for a guard but can certainly be beat with quickness or just shot over. Swain is an elite defender with the quickness to stay in front of super fast guards and the 5’11” length to bother shots.
