Hello, friends!

We've been preparing a move to a new hosting provider for a while now but were holding off during the football season as this will be somewhat disruptive.  

On Monday night starting at 7PM PST we're going to be bringing down the cardboard for the transition.  I wish there were a way to do this without taking downtime, but in order to ensure that no posts get lost, it's easier to do a maintenance window.  We'll do our best to bring the cardboard back online as quickly as possible, but I'm expecting this to take several hours.

In addition to moving hosting providers we're going to clean up some old cruft that has been building on the site.  We've upgraded mybb enough times that our theme is out of date.  We're going to be installing a new theme and doing our best to match the look and feel of the existing cardboard as much as possible, but some things will be changing.

We ask for patience as we iron out some of the kinks (this may include getting random email notifications for old PMs).  Normally we would take our time to cross all our Ts and dot all our Is, but we can't get off of this host soon enough.

Thanks so much for all of your efforts to keep The CardBoard up and running.  Ironically, I discovered The CardBoard during COVID, when the thread kept me awake at night, but relatively sane.  Since then, I've settled into the (sometimes) happier chat of women's basketball and other threads.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
