I haven’t been able to view the Sparks much, but I don’t understand a stat line where Brink takes 4 shots and they are all threes.
But she controlled her fouls and turnovers in this game as a big positive.
In other news:
- Smith having a rough season in Dallas. Stats and playing time are from down to way down.
- Nneka having an excellent season with the Sparks. 16.2 pts / 9.2 rebounds per game. Still elite.
- Kiki having another very good year so far for the Mystics. 14.6 pts / 8.9 rebounds per game.
- Lexie ok for the Fever. She is an excellent glue player, but somehow she needs to be more than just a mostly passive and stationary 3 point shooter/backdoor cutter on offense. Also the Fever’s extreme switching on defense somewhat limits her impact. 5.9 / 4.2 for the season.
- Jones remains unemployed after being cut by Portland. Bizarre guard/SF stat - hit 0 shots this season beyond 8 feet which largely explains why she was cut after 5 games..
- Karlie back from a long term injury, playing some now with Portland. 3.0 ppg.
Add anybody I missed….
