Cal has had a rollercoaster of a season.
And finally got their first ACC win vs Wake Forest this weekend.
That being said, I'd trade our season for theirs in a heartbeat, and throw in a couple coaches to sweeten the deal.

You want Wilcox, you can have him. Horrible end of game coaching.

I was chatting with a Cal player from the Tedford days.
He made a face when I asked him about Wilcox and said the same thing about gameday coaching. He also said the general feeling among Cal football alumni is that Wilcox won't take them to the next level, which is no shock considering it's Wilcox's 8th year and Cal has not yet had a winning conference record under him.

God no not Wilcox, but the OL coach, QB coach, and Terrence Brown returning home would be wonderful.

I remember when OutsiderFan kept telling us how Wilcox was going to lead Cal to great heights.

The propensity to repeatedly screw up in the fourth quarter this season is proof that Cal will never accomplish much under their current regime. Of course, if you meant to give them a couple guys with no interest in seeing them reciprocate, that might be something to consider.

Yes, I jokingly meant to offer a couple of coaches as a deal bonus, not necessarily a trade.
Though others have offered there are some of their coaches we might like to have.
It was a hypothetical story to illustrate my thought that Cal has really struggled and has lots of frustrations.
But even with that, any objective outside observer would still say they have done, and are still doing, better than us.
We've got 3 games left to rewrite the last chapter in this season's tale of buttkicked misery.
But to mix metaphors, the clock is about to strike midnight, and Cinderella seems to be stuck in the crapper with the stall door jammed closed.

Why is this still referred to as "Big Game"? It's a meaningless game, one that should see us get crushed once again, and that, for the sake of accuracy, should be renamed "Nano Game," referring both to its level of importance in the football cosmos and to the magnitude of our O output.

Once someone posts the banner hanging from the Bell Tower in Pisa in 1960*, we will be reminded why it is called the Big Game.
* a year in which the two teams came into the game with a cumulative 1-16-1 record. Also, 1960 was my first in-person Big Game.

This will be the 5th straight game on the ACC Network, 6th for the year plus one on ACCNX.
The day after Thanksgiving game at SJS will be on CBS.

Losing to SJSU on national TV is going to really help our recruiting.

Technically sold out.
I think Cal still has tarps covering a lot of seats, like we had for a while in the old stadium.
Still, I'm surprised there's that much interest.

It’s still Big Game for me. The old saying was that when Stanford sucks and Cal sucks, Big Game is your bowl game. If neither team can go to a bowl, it’s the only game that matters.
We need to bring back the Axe.

Agree!
And to shoe horn it into an old saying:
In a season of beatdown excruciatingly blind losses, the one-eyed Big Game is king
