I dislike Shaw. :-) Think he's smug and clearly unwilling to look in the mirror. Every setback is a "lack of execution" or "injuries," never a coaching or play-calling issue. He may or may not be a "good guy" in person, but his lack of humility and arrogant countenance makes him unlikeable to me.

Both are way underperforming the talent they have signed to play for them and producing an uninspiring, unwatchable product.
You might add WVB to that list.
Why do you dislike Hambly so much?
I don't dislike Hambly. I've talked to him on a few occasions. He seems like a really nice guy.
I've explained myself several times. I'll repeat. When you consider the talent, the WVB team is under-performing in a massive way. Based on prep rankings WVB talent is vastly superior to football and mbb.
I would speculate all or most of the Cardboarders who are not satisfied with the football team's performance don't "dislike" Shaw. You can separate your respect for a person and their track record in coaching.

Football talent? You have to be kidding. Overall a slow team. Not hard hitting. Backs can’t break tackles in the rare times that they escape the LOS. Except for Kelly the DB’s lack skill covering receivers. The ILB’s can’t play. The nose guard is so out of shape that he can’t move laterally. They have one TE, one WR (out for the year), one CB who are difference makers. Nobody on either line could start for most PAC 12 teams. Who really knows how good McKee is?
The entire defensive staff needs to go. Shaw needs an OC who isn’t sold on a system that doesn’t work anymore and he needs to cede the playcalling responsibility.
Of course none of that will happen. And Colgate probably wins the 2022 opener.

And why is it, BobK, that you have very low expectations? Because of the caliber of the coaching or the quality of the players on the team?
