The score should be surprising to no one. We will not win again and end this season with 6 straight loses. Haase needs to go.

Maples was empty last week and not many watching now. My problem with Haase has always been offense (well that and who he plays). 2-22 from the field is obviously flukey even for us, but our players struggle to get open looks (though today have missed a few thus far). So nearly every shot seems like a low % shot. of immense proportions difference between, say, open catch-and-shoot 3 from the corner and 3 with a hand in the face at the end of the shot clock, which the latter is pretty much all someone like Jones gets. Haase is an unmitigated disaster. Yet another moribund offense, yet another late season collapse.
This is bizarre: "of immense proportions" keeps getting randomly added to my posts (unless I'm the only one who sees them). Tried different browsers too. Something oddly glitchy here...
“H.u.g.e” is automatically changed to of immense proportions

Ingram has one point and two rebounds in the game. This is the guy who should be the best player on the court. And yet he has majorly regressed under Haase. I’d love to see his stats over time, because he sure seems to have become less of an impact player as the season has progressed. It’s sad to see.

In far more interesting action, Colorado is beating #2 Arizona 56-50, midway through the second half.

Just what I want to see: Beskind dribbling a million times then forcing a low % shot in the low post. But on the other end he dives to the floor and manages a steal, so Haase probably thinks he's our best player. Floor burns, baby!

Thanks. That seems stupid to me. It would be one thing if this were a real Stanford thing (I spent a lot of years on the Farm...both undergrad and grad with some separation in between), but this isn't. Get a life, CardBoard.

There are so many better things I could be doing on a Saturday night than watching our mens basketball team get embarrassed by the Weenies.
There must be something in the water on the Farm because neither our women or our men can shoot today.
Colorado is up 11 on AZ with 3 minutes to play.

BTW - I probably missed this earlier but what is Tate's situation? Is he out for the season, or could he be available for the P12 tourney?

It looks like the teams nationally ranked 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 are going to lose today.
We probably won't score 40 tonight.
And the Weenie fans show their true class and character by chanting "F#ck you Stanford."
Yep, we scored 39 points in 40 minutes. Way to end the season . . .

This freefall seems oddly similar to the football season.
Hopefully the team will manage another win.

Haase's ability to coach teams to fade down the Conference stretch is utterly uncanny. It's rinse wash repeat. Muir needs to pull the trigger because at this point there is no reason to think Haase will succeed at Stanford when he's had multiple first and second round NBA draft picks and hasn't been able to put together a meaningful post-season in his 5 seasons at the helm.

What's the biggest margin of loss in Stanford MBB history? Whatever the number, that record will be in play in Tucson on Thursday.

And maybe the #1 as Gonzaga trails St Maries by 11 with 5 minutes to play in the first half.

Indeed. Not a single player on our team made more than 2 field goals tonight. I don't think I can recall Stanford ever having that poor a game on the offensive end, and it came against one of the worst teams in the Conference.

53-39, to CAL? Get rid of Haase pronto and hire a first-class coach. This is rediculous. We won't even qualify for the NIT.

#1 ranked Gonzaga trails by 13 with 7:42 to play. If they lose, it will be the first time EVER that 7 of the top 10 ranked teams lost on the same day.

I don't know, but back on November 20, the football and MBB teams lost by a combined 68 points, in football to Kal and in MBB to Baylor. I was wondering if that was a record.....

The Zags lose to St. Maries! Today the #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 ranked teams lost. Seven of the top ten ranked teams lost. This has never happened before.

Good for St Marys. And, I 'm sorry, but tonight's game was the worst offense I think I've ever seen at Stanford...and I've seen alot of Stan BB.

I still believe none of
the head coaches will get fired during this year dominated by COVID protocols and COVID absenteeism, but Haase is doing his best to test my belief that all of the coaches will be safe.
Muir came in as some kind of basketball expert, if he doesn't think he can find someone that could do more with this roster than he also needs to go.
That noted, I didn't really think Stanford would beat this Cal team and I suspect Stanford men's hoops will not win another game this season. That's the Haase season ending pattern and not much has happened in the 2021-2022 season that we haven't seem before.
