I disagree. It may be justified but not obvious.

I recall Missy not calling even a common foul when a Cal player threw the ball into the face of an opponent.

Refs all the time don’t call balls thrown at opponents when the goal is to get an out-of-bounds call. Brinks throw was about that speed bouncing off Hollinshead’s elbow (oh my!). Hollingshead didn’t just reach up and put her hand over Brink’s mouth and nose and push once, she had two full arm extensions and pushed/followed Brink a number of feet.

As I sat in my car for 20+ minutes after Friday’s game waiting for the parking garage traffic to move, I was thinking I would favor a postgame meetup of Cardboard people.

Might try the Track House or Varsity lots. A bit of a walk — about 20 minutes, in fact.

So far it looks like we brought our A game. Jump is moving around on offense and she's helping Brink on Miller on defense.

Dumb offensive foul on Brink. She doesn't need to do that to dominate.

We are playing championship level defense. Very nice to watch.

Excellent first quarter performance.

I do hate the end of quarter plays where we run the clock down so far we often don't get a shot. Oh well.

Refs going to video. Apparently Cam got hit in the nose after blocking Vonleh's shot.

After review, no call.

Yeah, I thought she had 2. The first was when Vonleh pushed off to get an offensive rebound and Brink fouled her on the subsequent shot. The second was the charging foul when Cameron tried to go coast-to-coast.

Yes -- if you overlook the poor shooting by Brink (1 for 5) and Jones (2 for 7), a combined 3 for 12 for 25%. Jump is the only one shooting well.
