IIRC Kevin B SCott had a kickoff return for a touchdown against Arizona in the 1986 "Tokyo Bowl".

Final score, Stanford 20, Cal 19.

Also, Joe Starkey had laryngitis.

And I had a pleasant walk back to my car along fraternity row, where members of Cal's upstanding fraternities good-naturedly congratulated me on Stanford's close victory.

Your memory matches mine.  I was in the end zone where the alleged "winning touchdown" scored.  First date with my then-future wife, went with my best friend, and his girlfriend.  Good times.

we were in the same end zone so you probably also saw that the first cal TD was not a catch...

I was at that game but remember few details. Budweiser was giving away free beers from very early in the day. :)

Thanks Terry on the two Kevin Scotts. No wonder I thought they were teammates, they both returned kicks! So there may have been 7 or 8 years of Kevin Scott kickoff returns for LSJU.

From Terry's list

2010 - Andrew Luck puts cal defensive back Sean Cattouse on his caboose

1999- Casey Moore Run for the Roses

One of the reasons I love the Cattouse clip is the commentary from Petros Papadakis, who notes that after Luck drops Cattouse, he "just stands there and looks at him after he knocks him down, then takes off again down the sideline"

Just look at the sea of joyful, celebrating Stanford fans in the crowd shot after Moore's TD! Those moments have been in short supply lately.

More recently than 1999, how about Christian McCaffrey taking over in the 2nd half of Big Game 2016 including the 90 yard back breaker at 1:06 of this video.

Great highlights.

What you can't tell from the video is that it absolutely poured rain during the game. We were so wet.
