Yes, of course everyone knew that Lamson was going to run it, because Lamson is by and large a running quarterback and not especially effective throwing the ball (4/9 for 42 yards; 4.7 ypa, sacked once). We could constantly surprise the other team by doing what no one expects, but the reason we don’t is the players aren’t particularly good at it (which is why the other team would be surprised if we tried it).

Our O looks impotent and completely predictable. That last pass by Lamson should also have been intercepted, the second one he's thrown today. Their defenders seems like they have no difficulty staying with our receivers.
BC, it's obvious that Lamson is primarily a running QB. VT knows that too. But we're still running him in crucial situations. If he is such a poor thrower, as he appears to be, why did we even take him as a transfer? These days, you can't get by with a purely running QB -- unless one has a really tricky O scheme, like Georgia Tech which can allow a talented running QB to rack up big yardage. But Lamson doesn't have breakaway speed for such a scheme.

Last week was revealed his minutes are limited for health reasons.

I suspect we took him to have a running quarterback for certain situations and an emergency warm body in the case that our starting quarterback and our promising freshman back-up were both injured.

Not here. I'm watching thru FuboTV.
Yes, for like 5 minutes after 1st quarter ended. On Dish. Also couldn't log into streaming via ESPN/ACCN at that time.

Just catching up more on the game at the half.
Saw maybe only 10 min live so far.
Musta gotten just the bad 10 min cause we don’t look good.
Other than a few good defensive plays.
Have not seen one good thing on O except I continue to think our OLine often gives good pass protection.
Even tho no receiver gets open and/or the ball isn’t really thrown into their zip code.

Different positions. Bailey is a "Field" OLB and Aybar is a "Boundary" OLB. Tafiti is the one taking Bailey's snaps.

Aybar, as a boundary OLB, must support open borders.

Wow is our secondary bad (Wright excepted)
Have they been loaded with extra weights in their pockets like underweight jockeys?

When is Elijah Brown expected to be back from injury (serious question)?

Unless a miraculous turnaround happens very soon, this is feeling like a beat down shutout disappointment is on tap.
Kudos to our DLine & backers
Seem to always play hard regardless the score and regardless any big plays given up by our secondary

It was "4-6 weeks" as of ~3 weeks ago, so shouldn't be too many more games.

Ayomanor a 3 yard reception, first of game.
Break out the helium party balloons, maybe we can breathe in some and make goofy high voiced trash talking.
A nice connect Lamson to Ayomanor.
Only wish hadn’t taken 3/4 of game to get there

That TD pass from Micah to Ayom is what I like to see. Good, unpredictable call, well executed. Finally they target Ayomanor! He'd been invisible up to then.

Trick play Micah Ford TD pass to Ayomanor holds up on review!
We were teased in pre season that Ford might throw a pass sometime
Great time to pull it out of the hat
