With very good reasons.

With very good reasons. So far this mskes Christians versus the lions look competitive.

This is comically hidious. One more Td and they’re on track for over 100 points. Has a coach ever redigned because of embarrassment?

These refs are confused.  The defensive offsides should negate anything that follows.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - needle - 10-19-2024

I hate SMU.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - martyup - 10-19-2024

I agree with the announcer.  That can't be intentional grounding because he was hit while in the process of throwing.  Not that it matters.  I am worried about Brown.  Talk about throwing him to wolves.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - needle - 10-19-2024

It's the end of the first quarter, and Stanford has allowed four TFLs.

A season defined by negative plays (someone put that on some commemorative T-shirts and then throw them all on a bonfire).

Do fans of lousy teams still put paper bags over their heads?

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - martyup - 10-19-2024

Mosley should have caught that ball.  He cost Brown and INT that he didn't deserve.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - PalmTree - 10-19-2024

ARRRGH....

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - martyup - 10-19-2024

It really pisses me off to see a player's mouthpiece hanging from his face mask while the ball is in play.

Glad to see joining the ACC has actually made the officiating quality actually go down. I didn’t think that was actually possible. Nothing on the officials decisions on that play made any sense. Doesn’t matter in this game. But hilariously pathetic.

I mean it’s the guy who is offsides who caused the supposed grounding. So you now get rewarded for offsides. Absurd.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - needle - 10-19-2024

TOUCHDOWN FROM BROWN TO AYOMANOR MAY WE HEAR THAT PHRASE MANY MORE TIME THIS SEASON PLEASE

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - PalmTree - 10-19-2024

The bleeding has stopped - WHOOT!

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - martyup - 10-19-2024

Dare we say . . . Colorado 2023?

What a BS call of roughing the passer.  Complete bovine dung.

Couldn‘t have said it better myself. :(

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - martyup - 10-19-2024

But for that bad call, we would have gotten the ball back with the score 21-7.  If we drove down and scored, it would have been a one score game.  Now we're down 3 scores.

Now we go 3 and out and give SMU the ball with 1:12 to play.  Terrible.

These announcers suck almost as bad as we do.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - MV72018 - 10-19-2024

And to think thst my prediction was SmU 35 Stanford 14 for the whole game!!!!

Yeah, but laughter is the best medicine.

Rookie. You knew this was going to be awful. Important to lay in the right inventory.

That ending to the half was.... inglorious
It's 2:45 am our time - debating whether to stick around for the 2H. The way we're playing is more like ick-ing around so we'll see...

Go to bed and read about Stanford's amazing comeback victory over SMU tomorrow morning.

Sinclair with a fumble recovery.  That's a start for the comeback.

So much for Brown being the savior.

RE: FB -- SMU Game Thread - JJJ - 10-19-2024

That’s a frickin’ fumble!
