THAT WAS AMAZING!!!
The intensity of the second half is not something you usually see in November college basketball, but both teams really played their hearts out. We still don't know how good any of these teams are, but this is a lifetime memory for everyone in a Stanford uniform today.

ESPN gave St. Louis a 91% chance of winning with a 11 seconds left, which is less than I expected. Not sure what it was with 4 seconds down 2 with a single free throw to go.

Holy shit. I yelled so loud that I had to apologize to my visiting family.
I'm not sure I can ever recall an intentionally missed FT working before (I'm sure they have, just not while I was watching).
This ending is up there with Da Silva's layup against UCLA during COVID and Lottich's 3 against Wazzu.

The refs, to the surprise of the TV commentators, me, and, I assume everyone watching other than Billiken fans, said the foul came before the shot. So instead of shooting 3 FTs to tie it, and likely send it into OT, he's shooting 1-and-1. Okorie makes the first, then after a TO, he misses the second purposely and with precision. We are lucky that the refs didn't call a technical foul on Stanford afterGealer hit that shot because 3 Stanford fans ran onto the court to celebrate with time left on the clock. One of them tried to hug Bealer while SLU was inbounding the ball.

Then I saw that while some others seemed to be in a celebratory mood already, Okorie had retreated from the foul line and was getting into a good position to defend the inbounds pass. This guy is mature beyond his years and always focused on the next play.

Embarrassed that I forgot about Jacobsen (in my defense I didn't see that game -- I remember constantly refreshing whatever website had scores back then for updates).
Forgot about Daejon Davis' shot, too. That was incredible.
I did not forget about Robinson. That one is in a class of its own.

According to every ranking system there is, this will be the most challenging game of the young season for Stanford. Saint Louis is favored by 2-1/2 points.
Some of you may have watched the Billikens (?!?) in their 1-pt win over Santa Clara (sorry, Mick) and know more about them that I do. The main thing that I have been able to find out is that they seem to be led by #21 Robbie Avila (6'10 240 Sr C) who is their co-leader in scoring with 12.8 ppg. they have very balanced scoring with 7 players at 8.5 ppg or higher. Avila also leads the team in assists with 3.0/game and shoots 54% from the field and 56% from 3.
Yep, bummer, SCU had the lead at the half, couldn't hold on. You're not going to win a lot of games shooting 24% from 3 pt. range. At least they're ahead of Minnesota by 28 (66-38) at 13:18 in the 2nd half. Hope springs eternal.
Watching Stanford come back from 11 down at the half was just extraordinary. Benny Gealer, outstanding. Dent-Smith, 12 points in 21 minutes off the bench, great (could do without the four turnovers, though). Giltay, seven boards in 14 minutes off the bench. St. Louis has an excellent defense, and Stanford broke through. Great game!

Just great!!. I recorded in order to join visiting family for leftovers....and it quit with 3 minutes(?). We had just gone ahead for first time since early game. So, while I missed BG's big shot, I didn't miss Okorie's big first half, and Dent Smith and Okora's big second half. I also didn't miss Giltay. He can PLAY. Also, the Clarmon-Mudd guy may not be able to shoot beyond 10 ft, but he is smart and clever.
