I think beating up on bad teams - and yes, the awesome win vs Arizona of course - has clouded people's judgment.
Last 13 conference games (not counting Chicago State):
7-6
2-4 against top half of conference (i.e. good) teams
5-2 against bottom half of conference (i.e. not good) teams
Adj. Offensive efficiency rating would be #40 in the country, which would be 4th in the conference
Adj. Defensive efficiency rating would be #130 in the country, which would be tied with Oregon State for second-worst in the conference
"That performance throughout" would have us maybe 6th in the Pac-12. While certainly more competitive, it's still not good enough to be a tournament team.

I really hope the season extends beyond tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic that it will.

We play Utah tomorrow at 6 p.m.
Stanford has had one meeting with Utah in the Pac-12 tourney, in 2015. The game started well enough, with Stanford holding a five-point lead at the half. The second half went somewhat less well. That Utah team was good, they would be a Sweet 16 team that year, and Stanford would go on to become the champions of the NIT.
I've got to confess to being torn about what outcome to root for in this game. The players deserve success, but so does the program.

Hard to believe that this one game will be a deciding factor in Haase's fate.
Now if we made the finals of the tourney or something like that it might make a difference, but I think the chances of that happening are pretty slim.
So I think we can root for Stanford in this one without fear that it will give Haase another season.
Unless, of course, the powers that be have decided to retain him regardless of what happens.

I think a big Stanford win vs Utah tonight and a new coach for next season are mutually compatible.
Regardless the Pac-12 tourney, we guaranteed yet another losing season in conference.
Regardless a win vs Utah tonight, it's extremely hard to see it leading to a string of enough wins to finish with a winning record.
So I'm good rooting for big win tonight, and let next season coaching chips fall where they should, if they would, ...

There’s an actual pre-game show instead of having to switch channels or watching the tail end of the prior game on that channel!
However, will need to leave in about an hour so will not be chiming in during the broadcast…

Hopefully he doesn't do color for the game itself. Was there ever a time he was considered to be good? Seems like he jumped the shark a long, long time ago

At the game, and not a bad first half. Hitting treys at a decent clip, good ball movement to get some cuts to the basket, and really taking care of the ball: 1 turnover! Up 7, 34-27.
