It has been no secret that our offense isn't particularly effective against the zone. I wonder why Clemson didn't go to it earlier, before the game was out of reach.

Great shooting day for us and a terrible one for Clemson. Some of that was the defense, some was Clemson missing a key player and some was Clemson didn’t really show up. For me though the biggest positive was seeing Stanford actually have a transition game on offense. Not sure how much was us and how much was Clemson, but it was good to see for once.

Realistically, they have to win 3 games in the tournament to have any small chance of the NCAAs. Getting to the finals is better, but they may need to win it to get in. Net ranking right now is 42 which would be right at the bubble line without other upsets. Realistically, that is out right now, and our 8-10 in conference doesn’t help. 9-9 or 10-8 would be a lot more comfortable. Beating Miami will help exactly 0, but beating ND and NC State would be a positive though I am not sure it gets us over the hump. Beating Duke might get it done. We will see.

IIRC, they had but we were hitting our 3’s.

Don't worry about our beating Duke if we play them. Isn't going to happen. They're too athletic. Though Swain's performance was very encouraging and most welcome.

Rewatching the game today, you'd think that their key player was the end-all, be-all. Even if she had played and made 2x her average, we would have won.

She was listed as Questionable for the last 7 games, but started all of them. I suspect they figured Stanford would be an easy win and decided to rest her in favor of the ACC tournament.

Besides, we've been playing without our starting PG since late January.

On the ACC broadcast, they just verified that Clemson rested Moore against Stanford.
