I think against a good defense and with Jump mostly off target this is what they are. Good defense, and grind away. With this style you can’t get out-muscled and out-worked. Every rebound and turnover is magnified in a game like this. Way too many offensive rebounds given up today.
Or miss layups.

Catch this: our two so-called All-Americans are 7 for 23 combined with 3 minutes left. Pathetic.

Are these USC O-boards due to failure to block out? I can imagine that being part of it, but I am only listening to audio.

We could easily still lose this game. If so, it's on Tara for sure.

Too many long scoring droughts, especially in the 2nd half. Jones and Brink look tight and tired. USC just outhustling especially on the boards. Refs are terrible. Letting it get way too physical.

They carry a big load in different ways. Haley often falls off offensively when she has to be the primary ball handler against a team that can pressure the perimeter. Cam’s finishing has struggled today, it looks to me like lower body contact has thrown her off a fair bit today.

The D is the only thing saving SU's bacon tonight. Tara show no ability to teachh the team how to combat USC's style once again.

Yes. USC cannot score inside so they are all long perimeter shots leading to long rebounds. Our guards are not boxing out well and USC is just outhustling and outworking our guards. It's a very ugly game to watch.

No, mostly it's the ball coming hard off the rim and the refs refusing to call fouls. They are over the back mugging our players on every rebound.

It is no beatdown in any way, shape, or form, much less a total beatdown.
I’ve only watched the 4th quarter and agree 100%. Ugly.

Only up by 3 with 37 sec to play. Embarrassing. Stanford does not deserve a #1 seed with this caliber of play.

That was a terrible shot unfortunately. Dribbled it to nowhere for too long.
Should foul here…..

A lot are long rebounds that go into a crowd. We could maybe compete harder for those.

We also have THREE left timeouts with 4 seconds left. We really couldn't use ONE to draw something up to get a good offensive look late. I think we underutilize our timeouts. Why are we saving them.

Can anyone truthfully say that Tara is an excellent end-of-game coach?
We escape with a paltry 3-point win. They would have tied it if that last shot had gone in.
We are not a very good team against athletic opponents.
No one on this team takes it to the rim with authority and finishes..
Another lackluster game for Haley Jones. 4 for 14 from the field. Brink not much better: 4 for 12.
Take away Nivar's superb 4 for 4 shooting, and we shot a resoundingly mediocre 17 for 55 from the field, which is 30.9%.
If we get there, to the National Championship game and SC is there, I'd rate our chances of being Dawn's team at 10% at best.

We win. Cam sets the career record for blocks in her junior season. Meanwhile MV72018 is going for the record of most negative comments in a 10-minute span during a top-25 win.
