In spite of UCLA scoring 42 pts so far
It really seems like our offense let us down
They couldn’t seem to sustain much drives and so our D was constantly on the field

Acc refs can’t be worse.  Unwatchable. And seriously just spotting the ball is a challenge for these clowns.

You guys are assuming those refs won't follow us to the ACC, at least for the west coast games.

From the view on the stands, it looked like the crookedest officiating I have ever seen in my life.

At one point I just wanted to reduce the margin — if we got within 23 and had the ball I could yell “beat the spread so the refs don’t get paid!”

I was convinced Pac 12 refs, knowing they will be unemployed next season, have figured it’s time to fill their retirement accounts with extra paychecks from vegas.

I will say that the crowd was much larger by halftime than at the end of first quarter. Many many alumni in town for homecoming stayed extra long at tailgates. In fact, some of them enjoyed their conversations so much that they never made it in to the stadium! Good call on their part.

Stanford has now lost to 3 of the 4 soon-to-be Big 10 teams by a combined score of 140-23. And the Cardinal plays the other team (Washington) this Saturday. Maybe it's just as well that the Stanford did not receive a Big 10 invitation.

The expectation, of course, is that under TT's direction we will be dramatically better in the next 2-3 years and would be able to compete at that level.
Time will tell whether that expectation gets realized or not, of course.
Not sure what major conference this year's team would be successful in. Probably none.

I think that we will get better even next year under Coach TT, based on the recruits coming in and assuming we don't have a mass exodus for the transfer portal like Coach inherited.
I also think that there's a number of weaker teams in ACC and B12 and even in the B1G that we'd already have a better chance to be successful against, granted their top teams would kill us as did the top PAC teams.
Unfortunately for us there's just not a lot of weakness in the PAC this year.
Of course this all just my speculation and armchair opinion, which is like an arse in that everyone has one and most smell like ...
