I started rooting for the clock in the first quarter.
That has happened too often in recent years.

LSJU almost beat U of A, which is now a top 20 team. LSJU almost beat UW, which is vying for the CFP. And LSJU did beat three other teams, none of whom will reach the postseason.
When was the last time LSJU gave up 60+ points? the 1999 season opener at Texas?

Nor did I. Much, much worse than expected. I watched very little of the game after the first quarter.

OSU OTOH definitely has something to prove. They proved it early and tried to back off. We just keep throwing the ball to them and can't play defense.

in 2002, LSJU got barbecued for 65 points in the third game of the season on a road trip to ASU. Easy memory to repress.

Things get out of hand quickly if you are manhandled at the line of scrimmage, and this afternoon we were on both sides of the ball. Not entirely unexpected, the Beavers are physical, experienced, and well-coached. I know I expected a little more out of our guys, but when you throw four interceptions against a team like this it's not going to end well. And some of those throws were horrid.
Beavers just might be the best team we play all season. I know that's somewhat controversial - let's see what happens next week when they host the Huskies.
