Not to mention the limitations on getting players through the portal.
That is the new world. A good friend of mine son is a college basketball coach. Assistant at a D1 school. Turnover is just the way it is. You have no choice you deal with the portal or you die.
+1
I'm sorry, but you can't give Muir and TT a pass. The reality of the new world of CFB was obvious when TT was hired two years ago. It's been obvious for over four years now. TT specifically said he could rebuild this team by recruiting, developing, and retaining high school players with a culture of "love" and great coaching (specifically, quarterback whispering and innovative offensive schemes). Muir selected TT for these reasons and they both said the rebuild could be done our special way, without reliance on the portal. Now TT is singing a completely opposite tune because he doesn't have any other explanations for the team's total lack of progress.
It's slightly early to say (as in, about one month too early), but all signs indicate that they were both wrong in a very damaging way. They sowed false hope, allowing the institution to continue its indecision and inaction on the matter. Bring the matter to a head. Bring in an AD and a coach who are suited to the new world, or just give up and be transparent about it so we can go do other things with our Saturdays.
Bernard:
"Or we can learn to like getting our asses handed to us most of the time while we soldier on! With a laser focus on being Stanford. After all, the winningest coach in school history, David Shaw, said our recruits know who they are and self-select. Is that great or what? Portal Shmortal. 'Who's got it better than us? ' Oh, wait, another guy said that. OK, I'm confused these days, but most of the time I admit it."

Daniels does it again!!! 48 yards to the house!!
We really needed that one.
Daniels is doing his best to carry this team with his legs. He's a gamer and a very likable person.
Is there any phase of the game where we are close to average? Kickoff coverage has been atrocious. Add that to the list.

At this point, maybe we should just run the triple the rest of the season?

How could a team get SO much worse since the beginning of the year?
Easy. Opponents get a book on them, players get hurt, no depth.
Now it’s Taylor’s fault? I don’t give a damn if you have new Bill Walsh/Bill Belichick/and every other great football coach heading up this team. You need talent. They lack it. They have for quite a while. And they’re going to continue for quite a while unless they decide to play ball with the big boys.
Respectfully disagree. Taylor is absolutely part of the problem. This team is playing well below its talent level.

Replacing Karty w Kenney is another setback
Kenney needs kickoff to be touchbacks
Otherwise we get that

Sadly, I'm guessing it's a concussion for him. Physically, he seemed to be moving nicely after he got up. I was hoping he got hit in the midsection, but it was a hit to the head. And it should have been targeting. Another great job, refs!

Have they given up on Brown already?
Well, maybe until next season (unless of course he hits the transfer pool).

100%. We have low-middle P4 talent and we're playing like a low-G5 or high-FCS team. (And we aren't any better than the team that lost to Sac State last year...)

Yeah, I assume they're trying to prerserve his redshirt now. He has participated in 3 games so this would be his last.

So much for our D playing better than our O.
Muir & TT must pack their bags. Abject failure cannot be tolerated. Kal is going to make us their b*tch.
We're gonna get Lamson killed at this pace.

T
RIGHT? Easy to see the talent these players possess. But the person in charge of figuring out what to do with the pieces is just bumbling it so badly. These players deserve a better coaching staff.
