This is making me a little nervous about Havas. SMU's coach got caught in an attempt to over recruit her existing star setter from the transfer portal. Both the star setter and the setter she was recruiting decided SMU is not the right culture for them. That leaves SMU with one back up setter and that's it. According to what I read SMU WVB somehow has more money to buy players than any other college WVB team. Rumors are the SMU coach is hard at work trying to recruit an international setter.
Also Tessa Larkin ranked #4 in prepvolleyball's latest 2027 ranking. All I can deduce is her passing must be really good because in my opinion Larkin's hitting/blocking is not in the top ten for 2027 pin players.

What was Ireland Real's prepvolleyball.com ranking for those who subscribe? I can't imagine it being above #4.

Hope so, but Blyashov strikes me as Kendall Kipp level player (which is quite a complement) but not quite at the level of Plummer.
To give you an idea, Blyashov as a (redshirt) sophomore had a hitting percentage of .269 and 3.1 kills per set.
Plummer as a sophomore was hitting .319 and had 4.7 kills per set. She had by far the most attacks on the team.
Kipp as a sophomore hit .339 and 3.9 kills per set. She had the second most attacks on the team behind Baird.

Need to emphasize this was effectively Blyashov’s freshman year, and she improved noticeably as the year went on. Which makes me very optimistic going forward. That said, for me it’s less about her hitting and more about her passing. Sometimes last year it was pretty decent, but she had a few matches where she was erratic. If she cleans that up - and they need that with Rubin graduating - she will be a massive presence this season.

Repeat my question above. What is Ireland Real's rank on prepvolleyball.com's latest 2027 ranking? Want to make an argument on another website and need her ranking.
Also agree Blyashov's passing is the question for me early in the season. Other than Etzler we don't have any elite passers this season. Even the DS's are average. I hope someone emerges as a Rubin style passer.

By the end of last season, Blyashov was passing in the 2.4 range which is comparable to Rubin and Etzler. The bigger question is can Kurt up her passing for 3-6 rotations and is there a DS who can sub in for 3 rotations if not.

I recall Blyashov being a controlled passer some matches and an inconsistent passer other matches. Looking forward to what she brings to the court in August.
McKenzie Andrews (2028 MB) is visiting Stanford after she is finished playing with the U17 USA team in the Pan Am games. Not clear from the Instagram exchange whether she is visiting her sister Ella or also going to meet some of the Stanford players.

Kathryn Plummer Boden has been signed by LOVB (domestic professional team) except they haven't announced which team yet. It should be announced tomorrow. If anyone stumbles upon the team please post.

As of yesterday coaches are permitted to make offers to 2028 prospects. Who is Hambly recruiting? Other than the French setter Havas I have no idea. This is the first time in a long time I haven't at least had some hunches about the possibilities.

At 5’9” she either must have incredible hops or is a ds (or lib). Have we ever had an OH under 6’?

Let's go Stanford Volleyball!
Andrews and Havas are top tier in their positions for this class. Great pickups. I don't know anything about Martin however.
I know nothing about Martin lol

Martin hit 359 thus far in her career. But 5-9.
I wonder with the pending 5 in 5 rule how many will actually play 5 years at Stanford thus need a Libero and or great DS
