I had Man Friday (Defoe) and Colonel Owen Thursday (Henry Fonda) and his daughter Philadelphia (Shirley Temple) from John Ford's "Fort Apache." I also thought about Sunday Silence who beat Easy Goer in the '89 Breeders Cup Classic, one of the greatest races of all time with the Tom Durkin call that's for the ages.
The greatest television detective of all time - Endeavor Morse, from PBS’ Inspector Morse.
Endeavor is a current PBS series based on the Inspector’s early career. Fred Thursday is Morse’s boss in the series.

Indeed. I seem to get them mixed up tho. Tomorrow is pitching, Today is catching. . . .
Here's the roster, in order of utterance:
1B: Who
2B: What
3B: I Don't Know
LF: Why
Center: Because
Pitcher: Tomorrow
Catcher: Today
Shortstop: I Don't Give a Darn
No right fielder is named.
For part of the bit, Costello thinks the first baseman's name is Naturally.
Here are links to two performances of it. Amazing how the lines are almost exactly the same. Incredible memory, incredible timing.

A. Bill Russell
Q. Why did the NCAA widen the lane of the key in 1955 (Russell's sophomore year)?
A. USF. Bill Russell, K.C. Jones, and Hal Perry.
Q. What was the first major basketball program to start three black players, and who were they?
A. Bill Russell, McClymonds
Q. Which future NBA Hall of Famer played basketball with future MLB Hall of Famer Frank Robinson in high school, and what was the high school?
A. Bill Russell.
Q. Which player did Coach John Wooden claim to be the best defensive basketball player he'd ever seen?
A. Bill Russell and K.C. Jones
Q. R.C. Owens and Y. A. Tittle pioneered the Alley Oop pass in the NFL. Who pioneered the Alley Oop in basketball?
A. Bill Russell, Boston Celtics.
Q. Who was the first black head coach of a major league sports franchise?
And finally:
Q. In Bill Russell's junior year in college, USF went 28-1, won the NCAA championship, Russell was the MVP of the Final Four, was consensus Player of the Year, was Helms Foundation Player of the Year, he averaged over 20 ppg and over 20 rpg, and was named first team All American. At a Northern California basketball banquet, which center was selected as the Northern California Player of the Year?
A. I don't know the answer. It wasn't Bill Russell. Russell said it was another center, a white player. Might've been Cal's Bob McKeen, a 6'7" 220 lb. center, HM All American, and Cal's all time leading scorer and rebounder, and 26th pick in the NBA draft that year. Might've been 6'9" Kenny Sears of SCU, who scored 24 ppg and had 14 rpg, and was the 5th overall NBA selection, although Sears played small forward and power forward, not center.
