Hawaii is #20. Interesting that so many of the golf course-rich states are in the frozen part of the country. The top 11 are North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wyoming, Nebraska, Vermont, Montana, Maine, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

I think Serra is the only Bay Area school that can somewhat hang with McClymonds. Not as much depth.  Bonds and Greg Jeffries in baseball. Swann and Brady in football. I suspect there are others.

Actually, this exacerbates and solidifies California's position as the #50 state given that the statistic used 2010 population figures of around 37 mm and 1,140 golf courses.  2020's population has increased to 39,538,223 and the number of golf courses in CA have shrunk to 921.  Denominator increased, numerator decreased.  Yuck.
