I remember that Kevin Na hit into the trees at the Texas Open and would not take relief a few years ago. Maybe had a 17 or 18? Porky Oliver had a 20 or 21 on 17 at Cypress but it’s a par 3.
Fewest courses? Wyoming? Most? California?
Nobody else around here is old enough Bobbbbbbbbbbb.

Most golf courses per capita, North Dakota with 123 courses for fewer than 700,000 people. Hawaii is #20. Interesting that so many of the golf course-rich states are in the frozen part of the country. The top 11 are North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wyoming, Nebraska, Vermont, Montana, Maine, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Fewest golf courses per capita, California with 1,140 courses for over 37 million people. Alaska was a good guess, they're #49. Texas is in the bottom five.
Minor interesting sub-note: the USGA headquarters is in Far Hills, New Jersey -- a state that ranks #46 in most golf courses per capita.

Bobbbbbbbb's guy played on three winning WS teams with the Yanks. Card listed at $85 very good/excellent. My card rock solid excellent, might actually grade a bit higher. He was in the last series Topps '53 #'s 220-280. A small number of players refused to sign with Topps after their picture was taken and that's why some numbers are blank in the set. Mantle and Mays cards the most valuable. Jackie Robinson is number 1. and Milt Bolling # 280. A few Seals in the set including Harry Dorish.

This MLB had a mediocre 8 year career as a pitcher but at one time was the state of CA all time basketball scoring recor holder. Who ?

Artwork has been found for some of the missing numbers of the '53 set. Musial and others.
What is unusual about '53 Topps artwork/pictures? What happened to the original negs/artwork?

I think Serra is the only Bay Area school that can somewhat hang with McClymonds. Not as much depth. Bonds and Greg Jeffries in baseball. Swann and Brady in football. I suspect there are others.
Edit: Just looked at Serra HOF. Left off a biggie. I’ll let our historians answer. I am sure Phogge and Bobk will know.

Actually, this exacerbates and solidifies California's position as the #50 state given that the statistic used 2010 population figures of around 37 mm and 1,140 golf courses. 2020's population has increased to 39,538,223 and the number of golf courses in CA have shrunk to 921. Denominator increased, numerator decreased. Yuck.
