I don’t have a list. I would bet it is an up and coming coach not an established one. Probably a head coach already not an assistant. Just my guess.

SFTT, what do you think about poaching the Middlebury coach?  She's accomplished all you can accomplish at the D3 level.  Maybe she's up for a new challenge.  She has recruiting relationships with club coaches comparable to the top D1 programs.

Most of the recent assistants have been hired from D3 so it might be a possibility. Kate Livesay has three school aged daughters so I’m guessing she wouldn’t be amenable to moving. Her resume is impressive and they are playing in the national semifinals for D3.

Near as I can tell if you play in any game in a spring sport that uses up your eligibility for the entire season. 

I believe Lucy Pearson has no eligibility left.

I am proud of what they've accomplished this season and the future remains bright as they are bringing back some great players.  Lucy Pearson only played 2 games her frosh year so might still have eligibiliity.  This season put Stanford on the map in a big way so might be able to attract transfers.  Fortunately this sport is full of strong students at other schools so the transfer portal could work to Stanford's advantage.

In M lax, it's Princeton vs. Notre Dame in the final.

Northwestern takes the women's LAX title in a dramatic fourth quarter comeback. UNC momentarily tied the game at 12, but the goal was overturned. Northwestern then went on to score back-to-back goals to secure the 14-11 victory.

Would be interested to hear opinions from the knowledgeable folks on what transpired.

Congratulations to Northwestern, their defense won the game for them. UNC had 20 turnovers. 

Refereeing was poor for a championship game and the reviews took too long. No consistency on the calls. 

The game should not have been at Northwestern, too much of a home field advantage. 

Chloe Humphrey tied the NCAA single season record for goals with Madison Taylor. I hope Chloe wins the Tewaarton award she had 109G and 50A.

Last one was co-ed fencing in 2013.  Before that it had been field hockey the year before, and before that a span where they won two women’s and one men’s lacrosse titles from 2001-2003.  This is actually Princeton’s seventh title in men’s lacrosse.

Annabel Frist selected by Boston Guard - Bruce Wang - 05-29-2026

This greater Boston laxhead family plans to be at Harvard stadium on Aug 8 to cheer her on.

EDIT: there is an inaccuracy in this article. Miss Frist is not the first Stanford player selected to play in the Women's Lacrosse League. Ashley Humphrey who graduated from Stanford and played there before grad transferring to join her sisters at UNC plays for the Maryland Charm. Known for her lacrosse IQ, Miss Humphrey tallied the most points (3 goals, 6 assists) in a single WLL game so far last night. We watched WLL for the first time last night, and we enjoyed it. Last summer's Championship Series demonstration was fun but they played Sixes (Olympics format 5 field players + goalie) which looks more like a Wesy Genny drill than true field lacrosse. One improvement in the pro game was more space behind the goal which allowed more dynamic and creative offense.

Stanford also got a commit from Ruby Cacioppo, a 4* goalie from one of the top high school programs in Long Island.  In lax, the club is much more important and she played for LI Top Guns which is one of the top clubs in the sport and the #1 ranked club in the country during her last year.

Stanford announced a recruit from Canada: Aubrey Sartor.  She isn't on the lacrosse recruit rankings probably because she isn't an American.  She does play for an upstate New York club, Monster Elite.  It's one of the top clubs in the country.  My daughter has played against them but it was probably  their C team and we probably got smoked.

On the subject of non-Americans, I hope Stanford is recruiting Haudonesaunees.  The men's team is the third best in the world and the women are up and coming as women's lacrosse is a relatively new thing for them due to traditional prohibitions against women even holding a stick.  My daughter's club coach coached their U16 team at the world games.

Funny how they have Ashley’s assist record from her freshman year as an NCAA record even though she eclipsed the record in 2025. Ashley is probably the best lacrosse player ever at Stanford.
