I see it differently. I think the new 5 in 5 rule is favorable to Stanford WVB. I believe more Stanford players would be inclined to want a MS degree paid by Stanford than players at other schools would want an MS. A fifth year starter is almost always going to be more valuable than a freshman.

1. Who is the starting OPP? Harvey or Hickman?
2. Who will be the #1 DS.
3. Does Sayer have a wrap on her upper left leg?
4. Did Ipar Kurt play or was sidelined due to injury?

It's a nice bit of luck to have an experienced transfer backup setter Lilly Wagner (starter from Maryland). Or maybe Hambly anticipated that Yu would be out and got an insurance policy. It would be really risky if Parks was the only healthy setter.

The older players just subbed in to serve once or twice. Still it was nice they participated.

Coach Mike Johnson was asked that at the BBQ and would not (or could not) provide an estimate, but said that she would be back.
She was suited up and took part in some (not all) of the warm-up activities, I believe. So my guess is she won't be out very long.
(I'm not sure if she was at the BBQ; certainly never sat at our table. I don't recall seeing her there; unlike Yu.)

Ipar was there and did make it to my table. She said that being out was just precautionary and she expects to be back soon.
