Fred LaCour Was Charlie Range playing then? One or the other. Late 50s War Memorial opened late 50s or 1960

I don't read this board enough to read all replies real-time, so I answered the question as I read it.
Frank Robinson and Ernie Lombardi both went to McClymonds, both in HoF, but obviously not on the same HS team.
Always thought Pinson had an outside shot at the HoF. 4x 200+ hit seasons, led league in doubles and triples multiple times, 250+ HRs, 300+ SBs, 4 100+ Run seasons, 2 100+RBI seasons, nearly 500 doubles, 125+ triples, almost 3,000 hits. 54.2 WAR, below 69.9 HoF average. He also answers the trivia question: Who has the most hits that is not in the Hall of Fame and no longer eligible/not yet eligible? Mr. Pinson. Just not enough. Just like Jeff Kent, most HRs by a second baseman (by a long way), not enough. Bill Freehan, 11 all star games...not enough.

Nope Bobbbbbbb. The answer is located in the Sunday Chronicle obits. You should know the announcer answer too.

The first announcer to call an MLB game on the radio was Howard Arlin, staff announcer at KDKA (the nation's first commercial licensed radio station) on August 5, 1921 in a game featuring the hometown Pirates and the visiting Phillies. The prior year, Arlin became the first to read the Presidential race results when Senator Harding defeated Governor Cox. KDKA could be heard in Europe and Arlin became the best-known American voice in Europe.
Arlin was also the first to announce a professional boxing match, tennis match and football game. But Arlin didn't announce the 1921 World Series, featuring the New York Giants and the New York Yankees on KDKA. Can you guess that announcer?

Bob Norton I had to read them all of the right age.
Announcer Bob Fouts or Don Klein or Lon Simmons

Interestingly, even though King did some announcing for the Giants in 1958 - 1962, his official Ford C. Frick entry only mentions the A's, Warriors, and Raiders. Technically, King filled in for the Giants when Lon Simmons was doing 49ers games:

He also did the Seals, and Cal football and basketball, according to his Chronicle obit article:
https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/BILL-KING-1927-2005-Erudite-voice-of-Bay-Area-2601265.php
Actually, the last of the four credited with full time announcing of the Giants is Al Michaels, who announced for them in 1974-1976:

And the announcer for the 1921 New York Giants vs. New York Yankees World Series was none other than the erudite Grantland Rice.
