Hahaha. Technically, so is a Pac-12 title. But again, hahaha.

10-2 only if your LT is named Williams, LG Tomlinson, C Mack, RG Nelson, RT Slater.

Stanford 41, Oregon 38
Stanford wins because Oregon once again plays down to the level of its opponent and gifts Stanford via special teams miscues/allowing big plays and turnovers.
Stanford has zero penalties for illegal motion, offsides and/or delay of game.
And I win the lottery.

After seeing U$C crater, some of the luster (NOT ALL) of vanquishing Troy has abated...
#3 Oregon only favored by 8?
I think their Defense stifles us more than UCLA did.
Maybe we grind out 13 points.
Oregon's speed puts up 31. Sadly. Oooof.
Given the miracle at Autzen in 2018, I might be more optimistic if the game were THERE.

I am a bit bemused by the optimists predicting a Cardinal victory. Frankly, our only X-factor in this game is McKee, whose ceiling is still unknown. But we know that our run defense is abysmal; and the Ducks have CJ Verdell, who is primed to rush for over 200 yards. And we also know that our rushing offense is tepid at best, with an O-line that cannot seem to open any holes. Let's also remember that Oregon's defense has now been molded into a much more robust unit since Cristobal's accession to the head coaching job, so if UCLA gave our running game fits, don't expect a downtick when we face Oregon. In essence, our only hope is, once again, a shoot-out in which McKee plays lights out and is hitting targets downfield on the very first possession and throughout the game (not only in the second half). Combine that with a few lucky turnovers, and we might have a puncher's chance. But I don't quite see that happening. The Ducks do to us what we did to the Trojans: 42-28 for the visitors (as much as it pains me to predict this).

Something unusual happens and we win 33-31.

Oregon did not play well vs winless Arizona last weekend. Arizona outgained Oregon, their QB had five INT, and they were down only one score midway through the fourth quarter. This one could be close. I will say Stanford 35, Oregon 32.

Yeah like 40 of their players are kidnapped at the hotel.

Maybe there’s a COVID outbreak and we win by forfeit. But here on planet earth, we struggle to score 21 points and the Ducks call off the dogs when they get to 45.

That’s the same score I predicted! Just to avoid duplicates, I’ll change mine to 32-31, switching a safety to a 2 point conversion as the clock expires.
I do fear the most likely scenario is like BC’s, there is the possibility Oregon scores on its first 5 possessions and goes into halftime with a 29 point lead.

I hate to say it, but I think we're going to get smoked. 35-21. After which, we'll go on an incredible roll...

Right, on the table in your Utopian dreams. More likely, 6-6 if we're lucky.
My prediction: UO 49, SU 21.

Oregon has only one speed, and the TreeFense can't stop the run.

While I suspect Stanford will get smoked, Oregon isn't necessarily the juggernaut some imagine.
Oregon runs often but they haven't always run so efficiently. Curiously, they ran all over tOSU in their best performance of the year, quite well vs Arizona in a surprisingly tight game, and not so well vs Stony Brook and Fresno.
Also, look out for the other OSU. Since they switched to Nolan as their QB their offense has been lights out and defense okay. While their schedule hasn't been tough enough to evaluate them well, it looks possible that they could end up at the top of the North.

Sort of agree with you about this year's Beavs, but I don't think they'll hit the division finish-line in first place. Re 2021 Oregon in 2021, it really doesn't take a juggernaut of any kind to dispatch Stanford this season. And don't forget that the Ducks are 4-0. They do what they need to do to win, no matter the talent level of the opponent. As the season ages, their blades will get sharper. Cristobal's a winner. And he's hungry.

Unfortunately, I don't think "hungry" describes our own head coach.

Historically, Cristobal's teams have had at least one faceplant every season, including blowing a game in which they were up 24-7 and facing first and goal from the 1 yard line, and then failed to seal the win with a ten point lead and 4 minutes left in the game. The following year, they blew a lead against Auburn with 2 minutes left, and last year, they blew leads against OSU (4 points with 2 minutes left) and Cal (failing to score at all in the second half), and then got beaten pretty handily by Iowa State. The win against tOSU this year may finaly represent the Ducks breaking through, but history says that they will lose at least one game that they should have won. Hopefully it is against us.
What Cristobal is, is a recruiting juggernaut at Oregon, with recruiting classes ranking in the top-15 of the country (and usually the top of the Pac-12) every year he's been head coach. By sheer recruiting talent alone, Oregon ought to be far and away the best team in the Pac-12. Usually, but not always (*cough* USC *cough*) recruiting prowess translates to on the field success, and Oregon fans have good reason to be hopeful. But recruiting is only one of the coach's jobs, and I am not yet sold that Cristobal can optimize how his recruiting talent translates to on the field success. He's certainly better than a parade of USC coaches since Carroll, but is he Chip Kelley? TBD.

Oregon may not be #3 good, but good enough to handle Stanford.
