FB -- VT Game Thread - martyup - 10-05-2024

I thought I'd kick this thread off early so those attending the game might have a chance to post before kickoff.  Enjoy your time at Stanford Stadium.  It looks like it's going to be a hot one.  GO CARD!

Kirk Herbstreit predicts Stanford wins today.

How is the crowd looking in the stadium?

RE: FB -- VT Game Thread - Farm93 - 10-05-2024

Today will be a concourse special.

Loads of fans packed in the concourse already.  And almost no one in the stands.

Just FYI for those watching on TV

I understand the over/under on today’s game is 94… degrees, not points

It’s SO hot that… [insert Johnny Carson joke here]…

Lamson is 2 for 2 so far.  Nice passes.

That sack probably cost us 3 points.

Guy gets an early jump, looked offsides, Lamson sacked. We miss field goal. Nice drive gets nothing.

The kick wasn't that close. . . .

Lamson fumbles and we blow another scoring chance. I hold TT co-responsible for that blunder. Everyone KNEW that Lamson was going to run it. And Lamson hasn't been hit hard like that before. Really, TT: how about some deception and unpredictability!!!!!

RE: FB -- VT Game Thread - MV72018 - 10-05-2024

That 3rd and 7 pass to Tiger was poorly executed; lousy pattern running and a lousy throw. We're lucky it wasn't intercepted. It fooled NO ONE!!! And there wasn't that much pressure on Lamsen. Instead of running a short out route, faking an out move and hard-cutting back toward the center was WIDE OPEN.
